ISLAMABAD - Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Minster Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada honoured visiting Nepalese sports journalist Muna Karki with Pakistan colour tracksuit and appointed her as sports ambassador of Pakistan in Nepal.

Pakistan Sports Board acting Director General Chaudhry Salamat Ali, DDG Shahid-ul-Islam and Rawalpindi Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA) president Mohsin Ali were also present on the occasion. RISJA arranged the simple but impressive ceremony in honour of visiting Nepalese sports journalist, who arrived in Pakistan to cover 3rd SAAF Women Soccer Championship.

While talking to Muna, Mian Riaz said: “I am quite hopeful you will present the actual picture of Pakistan back home and also perform a bridge role in helping both countries to come closer.” Muna promised to work to bridge gap between the sports fraternity of both countries and write the hidden truth about Pakistan.

“I feel very comfortable in Pakistan. There is absolutely no security or any other issue here. I strongly recommend not only Nepal but other teams should also come to Pakistan and enjoy the hospitality of the sports-loving people of Pakistan. I could have not dream about getting so much love and respect.” She thanked Minister and RISJA for honouring her and promised to come to Pakistan again and again when ever given a chance.
