LAHORE - As the protest of Young Nurses Association (YNA) entered its second day on Saturday, the nurses continued to stage a sit-in outside the Admin Block of Jinnah Hospital against improper behaviour of a doctor.

Nurses stayed away from all wards except Emergency, ICU and Labour Rooms, causing huge difficulties to patients. They were joined by the sisters of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Services Hospital, who staged demonstrations at their respective institutions to express solidarity.

Dr Ashar Raza had allegedly sexually harassed nurses at ICU three days back. The nurses informed the administration and later on staged the protest to press for his transfer.

Addressing a press conference on Saturday, the YNA leadership vowed to continue protest till action against Dr Raza, saying that nurses were not ready to tolerate improper behaviour of doctors anymore.
