HAFIZABAD-The Kaleke Police registered a case against former tehsil nazim, his brother and 107 PTI workers on the charge of allegedly attacking the motorcade of PML-N MPA and injuring him, his driver, gunman and others. MPA Asadullah Arain along with his supporters had visited the polling station in Geegay on Thursday when the PTI workers led by ex-nazim Rai Jahanghir Ali allegedly attacked them with clubs and stones. The attacking PTI workers allegedly smashed window panes of their cars. The police arrested five of the accused.

Meanwhile, the city police have booked 50 workers of the PML-N and PTI including Tariq, Ehtsham, PTI candidate M Boota, Zafar Ali and others on the charge of attacking each other.

which left two persons with critical injuries.

About 31 PML-N workers were also booked for making unlawful assembly and blocking the road near Jharianwala.

The city police also have registered a case against defeated candidate Zohaib of PTI and 11 others on the charge of allegedly firing on the winner Muhammad Asif Chattha of PML-N and his elder brother Amjad Pervez Chattha. As a result four persons were injured. The police have arrested Zaheer Abbas and Adnan and have started investigation.
