HAFIZABAD-It is the bounded duty of all and sundry to make concerted and collective efforts for the betterment of humanity particularly to mitigate the sufferings of the ailing people.

DCO Muhammad Ali Randhawa stated during a visit to DHQ Hospital here.

He said that under the Punjab government “walk in interview policy” six more doctors have been posted to further improve functioning of the hospitals in the district. He also visited Helpline Counter at the hospital and called upon the internees to perform their duties with missionary spirit and facilitate the patients and attendants. He also directed the MS to set up pharmacy near the emergency ward immediately to ensure availability of free medicines to patients. He said that with the cooperation of philanthropists, the hospital is being beautified and free food is provided to patients and their attendants. He urged on the altruists to come forward to provide better facilities in hospitals.

Fund for players’ welfare set up

DERA GHAZI KHAN-The Punjab government has set up a welfare fund worth Rs300 million for players of the Punjab province, said Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ghuman.

He was addressing a meeting at Commissioner Office DG Khan. Zulfiqar said that the government shall inaugurate 40 gymnasium and 10 E-libraries next month. A sports gala and selection of players from union council level will start in DG Khan Division in next a few days, he said.

The tehsil sports officers will be regularised and 418 employees will be recruited for sports projects while retired revenue staff will also be recruited, he said.
