I work hard at my privacy: Jennifer

HOLLYWOOD LOS ANGELES-Don’t expect Jennifer Lawrence to smile and wave if you snap her while she’s eating - she can be the rudest celebrity alive if she thinks fans are stealing photos of her. The Hunger Games star is famous for her warm and welcoming personality and loves her fans, but she explains there have been moments when star-spotters have gone too far - and she has not reacted well.

“You might think you know me, but when you approach me you’re a total stranger to me and I’m scared,” she tells Vanity Fair magazine. “I get very protective of my space. It took me a long time to be able to do that. “But if I’m eating dinner and somebody comes up and a flash goes off from someone’s iPhone camera, I am really rude to that person. Then other people at the restaurant will see it and be like, ‘Oh, damn, I don’t want to do that’. Privacy is a full-time job and I work very hard at it.” The 26-year-old, who is reportedly dating fillmmaker Darren Aronofsky, has spoken out about her struggle to maintain her privacy in the past - in 2013, the actress revealed she cried to her mum about her life as she tried to deal with her meteoric rise to fame.

“I call my mum sobbing all the time,” she told Vanity Fair at the time. “You lose privacy... As stupid as it sounds, to make as much money as I am by doing something that I love, it’s hard not to regret it when you’re being chased by 15 strangers... All you want to do is rent a house, but then you have to rent one with a gate, and you’re like, ‘What have I done?’”
