Illegal parking areas are one of the major problems in Lahore. Many people can be found outside commercial areas, with electronic machines or printed chits in their hands to take parking toll. Especially at Kareem market and Moon Market Allama Iqbal Town Lahore, local residents have to visit these markets many times a day. But each time these illegal parking toll collectors compel them to pay Rupees 30 for each visit and parking of car, otherwise they misbehave with them. LDA and Police is silent on this issue. If parking lots at market are necessary then LDA or concerned department must issue license to the contractor and Signboards from concerned department side should be installed indicating the parking toll rates along with validity time for toll chit.
