KHYBER AGENCY - The security forces arrested 15 suspected militants and recovered ammunition from them during a search operation conducted here in Malik Din Khel area of tehsil Bara, official sources informed on Saturday. The sources said that on the second day of operation, security forces demolished 35 house of suspected militants while 34 mortar shells and 34 rockets were also recovered during search of the area, the sources said. Moreover two cars, a pickup and a tractor were also seized, sources said. INP adds: The security forces continued operation against extremists and during shelling in tehsil Bara of Khyber Agency on Saturday three militant hideouts were destroyed. The security forces early Saturday pounded the hideouts of extremists in Malik Din Khail, Sipah and other localities of Khyber Agency, considered to be strongholds of Taliban militants with heavy artillery fire and tanks. During shelling, three hideouts were destroyed but no casualty has so far been reported. Meanwhile, hundreds of families have shifted to Peshawar and its adjacent areas after the Army announcement of operation in the tribal agency. Though, a partial anti-militant operation has been under way in the area for the last two years, insurgents have escalated their organised attacks on security troops, killing at least a dozen armymen, including a captain, and injuring many others during the last five days.
