OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Moonis Elahis release was not part of any alleged deal of PML-Q with the PPP, as Moonis acquittal came in the result of a decision of the independent judiciary, said PML-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. He expressed these views while talking to the media along with senior PML-Q leader, Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi on the occasion of PPP leaders, Dr Babar Awan and Raja Riaz arrival at their residence on Saturday. The PPP leaders came to the residence of Chaudhrys to greet them on the acquittal of PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi. Shujaat claimed that PML-Q-PPP alliance was not aimed at gaining personal benefits but it would prove beneficial for the entire nation. Awan said that masses would take revenge from PML-N in the next polls and accused the top leadership of PML-N of running away from the country in the times of need. He said that PPP-PML-Q coalition would remain intact and both the parties contest next elections as alliance partners and claimed that they would give a crushing defeat to PML-N, which ruling Punjab on a 'stay order and on the basis of bogus votes. Babar alleged that the NICL case against Moonis was part of PML-N leaderships political victimisation campaign, while Chaudhry family has won a legal battle in the shape of Moonis acquittal. He alleged that Punjab government under the command of Sharifs has done nothing for the masses in the last four years except registering cases against their political opponents and looting billions of rupees. The PPP leader claimed that the federal government had not registered a single case against any political opponent, however, the Sharifs were continuing their past practices regarding the political opponents. He accused that PML-N top leadership would support Saif-ur-Rehman-like accountability drive, which aimed at elimination of the political opposition. Babar alleged that the provincial government has not taken up a single development project in the last four years and Chief Minister spent most of the time fixing his name plate on the projects started during Pervaiz Elahis government. Meanwhile, PML-Q leaders who visited Pervaiz Elahis residence to greet Moonis on his acquittal include Ahmed Hiraj, Salman Shah, Habib Ullah Warraich, Anwar Ali Cheema, Raza Hayat Hiraj, Asif Nakai, Akmal Cheema, Tahir Bashir Cheema and Colonel (r) Abbas. Moreover, Ch Shujaat Hussain and Ch Pervaiz Elahi have expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Saudi Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz. In the condolence message, top leaders sof the 'Q said the Pakistani nation shared the grief of the Saudi Royal family.
