SHEIKHUPURA
The polling in PP-162 will be held on Thursday (today). The seat fell vacant after the death of PML-N MPA Khurram Gulfam.
The administration has announced local holiday while 30 polling stations have been declared sensitive. The section 144 has also been imposed within the constituency while on carrying and displaying weapons have been prohibited. Besides, army, rangers and police contingents would continue to perform patrolling duty in PP-162. The polling would start at 8am to 5pm without any break.
PTI district organisation led by its president Imran Saeed and other office-bearer took out a protest rally against the inflated utility bills and price hike in front of Press Club.
The speakers while talking to media deplored the price hike and said that the government had failed to provide any relief to the masses.
