MULTAN: An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted various cities of South Punjab early this morning.

Tremors were felt in the cities including Multan, Muzaffargarh, Vehari, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, DG Khan, Rajan Pur, Jam Pur, Chiniot and other cities of South Punjab . Earth quake hit these cities at 537 hours early in the morning, frightening people to step out of their homes in panic. The earthquake also caused partial damage to boundary walls of some homes but no casualty was reported. The epicentre of the quake was South East of Fort Manro in Balochistan.
