Islamabad - The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is likely to initiate the process of giving possession of plots to the allottees of the Park Enclave in December this year as work on the remaining portion of 300 kanal has commenced at fast pace, CDA officials said yesterday.

CDA has taken possession of this area as the court of law has vacated the stay order. Now the Authority has 100 per cent possession of the scheme’s land and has doubled its efforts for the execution of the development work to meet the deadline of completing development and handing over the possession of plots to the allottees. Chairman CDA Maroof Afzal and Member Administration and Estate Amer Ali Ahmed visited the Park Enclave and inspected the ongoing development work. Chairman CDA was apprised that work on the stretch of land cleared after vacation of the stay order is going on at fast pace and would be completed soon.

He was further told that construction work on main road from Park Road to Park Enclave has been completed and construction work on central gate of the housing project has been initiated at accelerated pace, which would be completed in next few days.

Meanwhile, CDA Chairman chaired a meeting at the Authority Headquarters to review the arrangements made to facilitate the participants of the processions of Muharram in Islamabad. Chairman CDA was informed that necessary repair / maintenance work on the routes of processions has been completed and all the streetlights on the routes and around the Imam Bargahs, after thorough checking, have been made fully functional to provide proper light during night time. He was further informed that in order to ensure availability of potable water at the routes of Muharram processions, water tanker service will be provided and main holes on the routes and surroundings of the gathering have been covered properly.

Director Municipal Administration informed Chairman CDA that the teams of the directorate are consistently checking that wall chalking or banners with hatred material have not been displaced in the city. He was further informed that the ambulance service and fire vehicles will be deputed at places of gathering and along the processions.
