PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has got a case filed against the PML-N leader Danyal Aziz and served a legal notice on him declaring him a liar and said that the allegations of misusing hydel funds are baseless.

He said this at a press conference here at Chief Minister House fhere yesterday after the allegation of ANP leader Sitara Ayaz on Ehtesab Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Pervez Khattak said that some political parties were criticizing the KPEC that it was being used by the government, adding that there is no political victimization as PTI minister Zia Ullah Afridi was arrested by the commission and inquiries were under process against many secretaries.

Pervez Khattak further said that the PTI government has set up an independent Ehtesab Commission as well as a core committee in June 2013 to start working on the draft of the commission act with secretaries Law, Establishment and Director Anti-corruption.

The Core Committee submitted its recommendations to the provincial assembly select committee headed by Minister for Law with MPAs from treasury and opposition benches of the assembly as its members.

The Chief Minister said that EC will decide the decision of cases in three months, adding that a case will be finalized in three months, adding that still some recommendations on EC which will be got passed from the provincial assembly.
