KUANTAN, Malaysia: India beat Pakistan in what was a hotly contested match between the two arch rivals in the Asian Champions Trophy match on Sunday here at Wisma Belia Hockey Stadium.

India’s Pardeep Mor scored the first goal from in the 22nd minute. Pakistan’s Muhammad Rizwan Sr replied with a goal in the 31st minute.

Pakistan’s offensive added another goal when Muhammad Irfan Jr tapped in Umar Bhutta’s pass into the nets.

However, India’s counter was swift as they scored two goals within two minutes – Rupinder Pal Singh scored in the 43rd minute and Ramandeep Singh in the 44th minute.
