KARACHI - Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Engineer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rahman has demanded the government to eliminate confusion over the issue of Malir Development Authority (MDA) employees. Talking to a delegation of MDA employees at the JI headquarters here on Saturday, he said that Malir deserved a better treatment, and the confusion surrounding the employees'issue should come to an end. Earlier, the MDA employees apprised the JI leader of their problem.

They said that total 34 blue eyed employees from various departments had been sent to MDA on deputation.

“The privileged officials have been posted against key posts in the authority,” they informed.

They said that big guns in the provincial government had been issuing confusing statements, creating an impression that all the staff of the Authority was on deputation.

The delegation recalled that staffers from Karachi Development Authority had been sent to MDA in the beginning to run the newly-constituted Authority.

“At that time, all the staffers had been switched, not deputed, to the MDA. Currently there are only 34 employees in MDA, who are on deputation,” they further informed.

They pleaded to JI to raise voice for them, and demanded return of officials on deputation to their parent institutions.
