KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan leader Dr Farooq Sattar on Sunday announced the launch of a mass contact campaign.

In a press conference here, Dr Sattar said that in a day or two the party’s 100-day mass contact campaign will commence.

“MQM Pakistan is one party and that is us,” said Sattar. He added that injustice being done with the party should end.

Dr Sattar said that MQM Pakistan would continue its legal and constitutional struggle, adding that the party is registered under his name with the Election Commission of Pakistan.

“Some people associating themselves with August 22 are trying to push MQM into a ditch,” he said.

Earlier on Saturday, Rangers took MQM-London interim Rabita Committee members, Professor Hasan Zafar Arif, Kunwar Khalid Younus and Amjadullah Khan, into custody from outside the Karachi Press Club.
