CIA chief Leon Panetta, Holbrooke call on President Zardari

US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director Leon Panetta and US Special Representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan Richard Holbrooke have separately called on President Asif Ali Zardari here. The issues pertained to Pakistans contribution in US-led war on terror, intelligence sharing between the two countries and recent initiative by local security forces against Taliban militants in northwest of the country were discussed in the meeting between President Zardari and CIA chief. Earlier, President Obamas special representative Richard Holbrooke met with the President and discussed measures to enhance bilateral cooperation in energy, social development and other sectors. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Interior Minister Rehman A. Malik, Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen, Secretary General to the President Salman Farooqui and Pakistans ambassador in Washington, Hussain Haqqani, also attended the meeting.
