KARACHI APWA School and Qadri Secondary School registered fine wins in HBL-KCCA Inter-school Cricket Championship here at different grounds the other day. APWA School defeated Khan Secondary School by 13 runs at Pak Star ground. Batting first, APWA School scored 153 runs with main contribution coming from Faizan (25) and Muhammad Fahad (19). In reply, Khan Secondary School started well but fell 14 runs short of the winning target. Qazi Adnan (32), Sohail Akhtar (26) and Muhammad Ali (22) batted well for Khan Secondary School. However, their efforts were not good enough to earn them victory. M Salman, Jibran and Tahir took two wickets each for 39, 26 and 39 respectively. In another match played at KCCA Stadium, Qadri School selected to bat first. Saqib Aslam scored 65 runs with the help of six fours, Saifullah Bangash 34 and Ahmed Bilal 33 as the team scored 225. Waqas grabbed four wickets for 24 runs while Talha Shah took two for 42. Zeeshan School crumbled before a big total for paltry 48 runs. Ghulam Muhammad was the wrecker-in-chief of Qadri Secondary School clinching five wickets for 24 runs while Hammad Khan got three for 16 and Arsalan Hussain two for seven runs.
