China announced on Wednesday another $200 million to support relief and reconstruction efforts in flood-hit Pakistan. The announcement was made by Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao while addressing a high-level session of the UN General Assembly on Millennium Development Goals(MDGs).I wish to take this opportunity to announce that China will, on top of the pledged assistance, provide another $200 million of assistance to Pakistan, Wen said. China had previously offered about $47 million in aid to Pakistan following the devastating floods, Which affected 21 million people and left 12 million in need of emergency food aid. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi thanked the Chinese leader for its generous help to Pakistan.
