LAHORE - The lawyers Tuesday continued their boycott of the District and Sessions Judge of the City courts Zawar Ahmad Sheikh due to his continuous unacceptable attitude with the lawyers during the court proceedings. The lawyers also displayed banner inscribed with the words 'boycott outside the judges court. However, it was witnessed that number of lawyers appeared in the Sheikh Zawars court on Tuesday. Lahore Bar Association (LBA) Secretary Qasim Hassan Bhuttar has rejected the allegations of a section of lawyers as baseless that the LBA was putting undue pressure on the judge for personal gains. He said LBA in February 2010 has informed the chief justice Lahore High Court Justice about the misbehaviour and non-professional attitude of the Judge Sheikh Zawar Ahmad and the CJ had assured the LBA that the Judge will be transferred soon. He said earlier lawyers had informed the LBA verbally about the misbehaviour of the Judge, but now the lawyers would submit their written applications to the LBA. He said due to the 'boycott of the court, the petitioners were suffering a lot as the lawyers were not attended the court of the judge. Another lawyer belonging to LBA said that chief justice Lahore High Court had assured them in February 2010 that a chance should be given to the Judge Sheikh Zawar Ahmad regarding his attitude. But so far Sheikh Zawar Ahmad had not changed his attitude, as a result, the lawyers were compelled to boycott his court.
