KARACHI (Online) - Three-member Supreme Court bench on Wednesday ordered district govt Karachi to level the Zulfiqarabad oil tankers terminal area within ten days for parking oil tankers. The SC made it clear on Manzoor Ahmad, lawyer for the district government that if the orders would not be implemented then officials concerned would be sent to jail. It is pertinent to mention here that case of illegal parking of oil tankers at Sheereen Jinnah colony and Clifton Block has been delayed since April and could not progressed despite SC orders. The court ordered to level the area within ten days and submit the report in SC while in case of non-implementation on the orders, the administrator Karachi would be presented before the court. The bench headed by Justice Jawad S Khawaja ordered the Sindh government to hand over 50 acres land to city government for parking oil tankers coming from Balochistan. The next hearing of the case would be held on October 4.
