Five infants die in Sukkur hospital

KHAIRPUR - At least five infant died due to administration’s negligence as its incubator and air-conditioner were out of order in Sukkur Civil Hospital, during 24 hours.

According to the details, sources said that doctors and nurses did not perform duty in the children ward especially in the night and two infants were died on Thursday.

The sources disclosed that at least five infants were died during last 24 hours. It is pertinent to mention here that the hospital is given Rs220 million budget. Many infants were died in civil hospital Sukkur almost a month ago and Opposition Leader in National Assembly MNA Sayed Khurshed Ahmed Shah took serious notice but to no avail.

Meanwhile the health department took a serious notice and issued orders to probe the matter.

ROAD SAFETY WALK

Following the directives of IG Motorway, the motorway police held a road safety walk on Thursday to aware the people about road safety. 

The walk was led by SP Motorway Sukkur Rau Amir. The walk was started from local board and ended at Sukkur press club. Addressing the participants, SP Rau Amir urged the masses to use helmet and seat belt and implement the law while driving on road. The walk was attended among others by students, civil society and others.

YOUTH KILLED

A youth was killed in Ghotki on Thursday. Some armed persons fired on a youth Bashir Ahmed Kolachi at Adilpur road near village Khoonharo  when he was going to Ghotki fromhis village. Resultantly, he was died on the spot and culprits managed to flee. On receiving information Ghotki police reached the spot and took body into custody later brought to Ghotki hospital for legal formalities.

Police did not lodge the case of incident till the filing of story.
