Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan said on Sunday expressed hope that the government of India and their military would let go of their arrogance and answer Pakistan’s call for peace, but, the PM explained that wanting peace does not make Pakistan weak.
While addressing government employees in Lahore, Imran Khan said that Pakistan would not bow to threats from India. “If the neighbouring country continued their threats, then, the entire nation is standing united to thwart any action against their country,” he said.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman did still hope that better relations will take place between the two countries, but he clarified that their wish for peace should not be taken as weakness.
Meanwhile, speaking on the subject of depoliticisation in government departments, PM Imran Khan said that bureaucracy will be made free from political interference.
“The government employees will not be made to bow down to pressure,” he said, adding that governance is a very big issue in Pakistan.
