ISLAMABAD - (Online) President Asif Ali Zardari observed Pakistan wanted peace with India cautioning both the countries should resume composite dialogue process soon otherwise the extremists would take advantage of the situation. President said this during his talks with new Indian High Commissioner Sarabjit Pal who presented his credentials to the President here at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday. President congratulated the latter on his appointment as envoy to Pakistan and held out assurance of his cooperation. Sources told President made it clear during his talks that Pakistan wanted good relations with India stressing both the countries would have to pursue steps for confidence building. About Mumbai attack, President said Pakistan was moving forward investigation with good intent and urged India should also provide full information on this count so that the terrorists could be exposed. President expressed regret over bringing pre-conditions for resumption of peace talks. Indian High Commissioner presented his credentials to the President saying he during his tenure would work for scaling down tension.
