LAHORE The teams participating in the 8th National Women Cycling Championship reached Lahore and the event will roll into action today. The teams reached Lahore Friday to participate in the championship being held here from April 24 to 26. All arrangements for organising this important cycling event in a befitting manner have since been finalised. It may be recalled that in the context of development of women cycling in the country, the 8th National Women Cycling Championship is being organised by the Pakistan Cycling Federation at Lahore from April 24 to 26 in which the affiliated units of PCF like Army, Railways, WAPDA, SSGC and all the four provinces are participating. The opening ceremony, which will be held at the Cycling Velodrome (near Gaddafi Stadium), Ferozepur Road Lahore on April 24 at 5 pm, will be graced by IOC Member in Pakistan/Vice President Pakistan Olympic Association Syed Shahid Ali. At the closing /prize distribution ceremony taking place on April 26 at 5 pm at the Cycling Velodrome, Chief Executive GUARD Group/Senior Vice President Punjab Olympic Association Mr Iftikhar Ali Malik will be the chief guest.
