ISLAMABAD - The National Assembly will meet on April 25th on its 41st session, which is most likely to take up matters related to tragic Bhoja air crash, target killing incidents in Balochistan and Karachi and other issues. 

The main Opposition party PML-N in the 41st session of the 5th Parliamentary year of the present National Assembly, likely to continue till the first week of May, will raise the issue of judicial inquiry into the tragic Bhoja air crash incident by government.

A day after the government ordered a judicial inquiry into the Bhoja crash, the main Opposition party PML-N termed it a so-called Commission, stating that the government formed the Judicial Commission without the consent of the apex court.

The upcoming session might also witness heated discussion on different matters including law and order situation, implementation on Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS), NATO supply line, loadshedding and other matters.

Parties from Opposition and Treasury benches have also submitted adjournment motions related to different issues of public interest, which will finally be decided in the meeting of Business Advisory Committee.

The PPP’s allied partner Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) submitted adjournment motion related to recent air crash, raising the delayed delivery of compensation money to the victims of recent air crash and previous incidents.

‘MQM will take up the matter of air crash on the first day of National Assembly session. We will stress for chalking out proper strategy in this matter’, said Asif Hasnain MQM legislator talking to TheNation.

According to the Press release issued from NA Secretariat, President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday, summoned the National Assembly Session in exercise of powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of Pakistan.

The President has summoned the session of the National Assembly on Wednesday (tomorrow) at 5pm.
