LAHORE - A trial court on Monday sought record till April 27 from a private hospital where Lollywood actress Meera, allegedly underwent an abortion.

A petitioner, Muhammad Islam, moved the court, seeking registration of a criminal case against Meera and her accomplices over ‘abortion’.

Islam told the court that he had come to know about the issue through a press report that Meera had an abortion. He also named Capt Naveed and Dr Shahida Khwaja, Dr Waseem and Dr Nasreen as accomplices in the crime. The petitioner told the court that he had visited the Defence-B Police Station for registration of a case but to no avail. However, the Defence-B SHO told the court that no one filed an application with the police to get the case registered.

The court directed the hospital administration to submit record till April 27.
