ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has a detailed discussion with Attorney General Irfan Qadir on various legal aspects and the expected outcome of the contempt of court case pending against him in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.Sources aware of the meeting, informed TheNation that Attorney General Ifran Qadir briefed the PM about various propositions of the contempt case.Irfan will start his arguments in the case as prosecutor on Tuesday (today) and expectedly he would take a couple of days to complete his arguments. Sources in the government said that Gilani was prepared for the worst out of the case but he was determined not to move against the party co-chairman anyway.Sources close to the prime minister said Gilani, in his private meetings with party leaders, had reiterated his stance that in case of conviction in contempt case he would not seek presidential clemency.It is pertinent to mention here that prime minister’s counsel in the case Barrister Ch Aitzaz Ahsan had concluded his arguments on Friday last and now the Attorney General of Pakistan Irfan Qadir who is prosecutor in the case would start his arguments on Tuesday(today).
