PR shuttle service in City from today


LAHORE – The Pakistan Railways has finalised all the arrangement to operate shuttle train service between Shahdrah and Lahore Railways Station. Railways Lahore Division DS Javid Anwar will inaugurate the service between the two destinations on Tuesday (today).
The service is a part of the railways’ programme to use its recently repaired old locomotives for short distance travelling for the financial benefit of the utility. The likewise trains would also be operated in other cities as well. According to the details, the first train would leave the Lahore Station daily at 6.30 am while the last train would leave the Shahdrah Station at 8.45pm.
The shuttle train can facilitate at least 350 passengers in one trip while it would resume total eight rounds (16 trips) between the two ends. After making stay for one minute at Badami Bagh, the train would cover the total distance in 20 minutes.
