SANGLA HILL - Sangla Hill Police Wednesday claimed to have arrested two women for killing two men in the name of love.

According to the police, Nazia Shah of Chak Panj Ratian wanted to tie the knot with villager Arshad Ali. Ali sent proposal that was rejected by Nazia’s father Abid Shah, they added. The police said the girl, in connivance with her fella, axed to death Abid Shah.

Separately in Siranwali Chak 123, mother-of-five Shamshad Bibi strangulated her husband Nazir Jutt, police said. They added that she killed her husband because she wanted to marry another man. The police produced the arrested in court and they were sent to Sheikhupura District Jail.

A man here Wednesday claimed that the C Section police cut off his tongue after he refused to give them bribe. According to reports, the man was tortured before his tongue was cut off. He was shifted to the nearest hospital for treatment.
