ATTOCK - Police on Wednesday arrested a man for allegedly throwing his two children into the River Indus.
According to details, Faqeer Badshah, resident of village Sojhanda situated on the bank of the River Indus, was having some dispute with his wife and used to quarrel with her. On Wednesday afternoon he exchanged harsh words with his wife and took his five-year-old son Owais and one-year-old daughter Zulekha with him to the bank of the River Indus where he threw both of them into the water. Some of the villagers came to know about the mishap and rushed to the crime scene.
After making a lot of efforts they rescued Zulekha; however, Owais could not be rescued. Till filing of this report search was going on for Owais' recovery. Police arrested Badshah and started investigations.
