Fishy business

The project of providing electricity to Mubarak Village has come to a halt. Work started after the announcement made by the Sindh Chief Minister in October, 2009. He made the announcement while distributing lease documents to the fishermen. Poles, PMTs and electric wires were installed in about half of the village but the other half was left to live in darkness. Fishermen claim that all necessary development funds had been released by the government but for unknown reasons the work was halted. The villagers have demanded an inquiry into why development work has stopped.
