Pak-Bulgarian MPs can bring states closer: Ayaz Sadiq

Islamabad - Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that parliamentary interaction between legislatures of the friendly countries can play an important role in strengthening bilateral relations.
He said this in a meeting with Bulgarian Ambassador Roumen Pirontchev in Parliament House on Wednesday. The speaker said that Pakistan values its relations with Bulgaria and wants to further strengthen them through active interaction of parliamentarians of both the countries. He also stressed the need for further enhancing trade and economic cooperation. He suggested for active interaction between Pakistan-Bulgarian investors for taking advantage of investment incentives offered by the government of Pakistan.
Sadiq was confident that active engagement between business communities of both the countries would help tap the under-utilised economic potential in Pakistan. He also suggested for enhancing cooperation in educational and technical training sectors.
Ambassador Roumen Pirocchev said that Bulgaria also values its relations with Pakistan and desires to further strengthen it through people-to-people and parliamentary contacts. He informed the speaker about the establishment of joint economic cooperation council and signing of various MoUs for cooperation in economic and manufacturing sectors between Bulgaria and Pakistan.
Roumen Pirocchev also informed the speaker about the establishment of Bulgaria-Pakistan parliamentary friendship group in Bulgarian National Assembly and extended his fullest cooperation in facilitating interaction between Pakistani and Bulgarian parliamentarians.
