Protesting ETPB employees arrested

LAHORE - Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Siddiq-ul-Farooq managed to get arrested of more than a dozen ETPB employees who were protesting against their termination.
The employees were protesting against their termination and chanting slogans “Go Nawaz Go” and “Go Chairman Go”, said an officer of the board on Thursday.  He said that the chairman came out of his office and waived pistol in the air and threatened to stop their protest otherwise they would have to face dire consequences. The aggrieved employees have also submitted an application to local police for registration of case against the chairman.
The chairman issued show cause notices to several employees and suspended others who were recruited by former chairman Asif Hashmi. The aggrieved employees were protesting against the decision on which incident took place.  Those arrested included Malik Zahid, Muhammad Ahmad, Muhammad Zohaib, Atif Sheikh, Jalal-ud-Din, Adnan, Yousaf and others.  When contacted, Siddiq-ul-Farooq said he was busy and would contact this scribe later to comment on the issue.
