Speeding truck kills seven siblings

JHANG - In a gruesome incident, a vegetable-laden truck killed seven siblings including five sisters while their parents two other sibling got injured when it rammed into a one-room house in Pindi Mohallah on Ring Road here in the wee hours of Thursday.
As per details, the Sargodha-bound vegetable-laden truck was on the way from Dera Gahzi Khan. As it reached near Pindi Mohallah on Ring Road Jhang, its tie rod got opened due to which the driver lost control of the truck and it went into a nearby one-room house and overturned.
Resultantly, the house collapsed over the 11-member family of labourer Muhammad Ramzan All family of Muhammad Ramzan, killing his seven children including five daughters and two sons. He, his 35-year-old wife Sidaran Bibi, tw-year-old daughter Sadia and one-year-old son Rizwan sustained multiple injuries and were admitted to DHQ Hospital Jhang.
The deceased children were identified as 14-year-old Imran, 12-year-old Nadia Bibi, 10-year-old Rabia Bibi, eight-year-old Musarat Bibi, six-year-old Abdul Rehman, five-year-old Farhat Bibi and four-year-old Mafia were crushed to death on the spot. On information, Rescue 1122 officials and police rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operation. According to doctors in the hospital, condition of all the injured is satisfactory.
Agencies add: Rescue sources said a truck loaded with vegetables went out of control and rammed into the house of Ramzan when his family was asleep. As a result, the one-room house turned into rubble and seven minor siblings were killed. Labourer Ramzan, his wife and two children were rescued and shifted to the district headquarters hospital.
The police have taken truck driver and two others into custody.
