Panasonic’s latest cameras to revolutionise videography in Pakistan

Panasonic, in line with its 2018 business strategy of strengthening its camera business in Pakistan, has launched two new cameras which will offer amazing Japanese technology and high-quality imaging. The new Digital Single Lens Mirror less Camera LUMIX GH5S is the world’s first cinema 4K 60p/50p video recording digital mirror less camera and the new high-definition professional camcorder MDH3 is a simple yet professional camera; both set to astonish wedding videographers in Pakistan.

Designed and developed for professional filmmakers, the LUMIX GH5S achieves the highest-ever sensitivity and image quality in the history of LUMIX cameras. The new 10.2-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor with Dual Native ISO Technology and Venus Engine faithfully reproduce even dark parts of the image, allowing a maximum ISO 51200 high sensitivity recording. This sensor is a multi-aspect type with a sufficient margin for realizing the same angle of view at the same focal length in 4:3, 17:9, 16:9 and 3:2 aspect ratios. The sensor also supports photo shooting in 14-bit RAW format, providing higher flexibility for professional RAW development workflows.

Meanwhile, the shoulder-style Full-HD camcorder MDH3 comes with Built-in LED Light and Large (in its own segment), 1/3.1-inch (type) MOS Sensor for beautiful low-light shooting. It also achieves the high picture quality and easy operation that are required by professionals thanks to its 20x zoom lens, Picture Tone, and Dual SD Card Slot. With its many external controls, this sleek shoulder camera is seen to appeal to video and media production classes, in addition to documentary and wedding filmmakers who value external operation from the shoulder.

During the event, Panasonic representatives delivered presentations explaining the key features and cutting-edge innovations of the cameras. A special highlight was the presentation on GH5S from Kashif Rashid, the owner and main photographer at K Bridals. Rashid has extensive experience not only in wedding photography and filmmaking but also in commercial, fashion photo shoots and fashion films. He has also worked extensively, in the US, UK, Thailand, Indonesia and Dubai. Also in attendance were delegates from the company’s Japan factory, namely Hiroki Takahara, General Manager, DI Engineering; Masashi Hamabe, Senior Manager, Product Planning; Hisao Homma, Senior Manager, Consumer Marketing DI Division; and, Yoshihiko Murai, Manager, Consumer Marketing DI Division.
