Testing limits of taste, trust and creativity at Cafe Solasta

There are plenty of better options in town for Pizza and steak but I and my friend were looking for a spot where the tables are many, the living is easy and the food is very good indeed. That's when we came across this luscious version of classic cafe with a few interesting twists and turns through Instagram.

We're talking about this new eatery in Lahore, Cafe Solasta, owned by a young and inspiring couple, Mr. and Mrs. Suleman, which is gaining a lot of following lately. While, people are partial about the art, they absolutely love the food and atmosphere of this place.

Menu:

Creative and healthy options with plenty of attractive picks for anyone who isn’t feeling so virtuous.

What we ordered:
Chicken Involtini: I knew I will opt for this right from the minute I entered the café because someone was already feasting on it at table next to ours. From the look to the taste, dish is an original twist on an Italian classic with a herbed mascarpone and prosciutto stuffing. Loved it for sure – no kidding!

Chicken Swiss Steak with Mushroom Sauce: My friend says that it was such a palate-tingling adventure – thanks to the impeccable look and taste of the unique sauce making the dish more impressive. Although, it was a bit too spicy than what you get from regular steakhouses.

From the specialty cocktail list, we simply picked Mint Margaritas – were just okay.

Surely, you say, not everything could be fabulous. Right you are.

But we’ll tell you what’s hot at Solasta:
- You can enjoy live Pizza making at the counter where you can also get a chance to win it if your choice of toppings is unique than the rest.
- If you celebrate your birthday or any other special event at the place, you can lock your memories at their ‘Lock your memory’ board – which is cool. No?
- They’ve just introduced live making of ice-cream curls.
And we couldn’t help the unapologetic anglophile in us, but order them, knowing that the dessert was a bit too fat after all that we had eaten.

Soon, in near future:
- The cafe will introducing Hi-Tea before Ramzan.
- They’ll soon be adding Mexican, Thai and Chinese food items as well in their current menu.
