Koral police arrest 3 women, 2 men in baby kidnapping case

ISLAMABAD - Koral Police have arrested three women and their two male facilitators and recovered a minor baby, abducted from NADRA office by the gang under officials of PM Ehsaas Program, informed a police spokesman on Saturday.

The detained members of kidnapping gang have been identified as Rabia, Aneesa, Sajid and Tariq Mehmood, he said adding that another woman namely Naseem Bibi was also held on charges of hiding information from police about kidnapping of minor child.

According to him, a citizen namely Muhammad Tariq lodged complaint with PS Koral on April 22, 2022 stating his wife had taken her three-day-old boy to a hospital in Taramri Chowk on call of women to whom she was in contact before giving birth to child. He added the woman gave her wife Rs 30,000 impersonating an official of Ehsaas Program and kidnapped the baby boy.

He requested police to recover the missing child. Police registered case and began investigation. One the directions of IGP, SSP operations Muhammad Faisal Kamran formed two police teams under the supervision of SP rural Zia-ud-Din and other officials and arrested two main suspects Anisa and Rabia, their two facilitators Sajid and Tariq and Naseem for concealing information about the crime. IG Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas appreciated the efforts of police team for recovering the missing child.
