District Kasur administration has made fool-proof security arrangements for the three-day annual Urs celebrations

of Hazrat Baba Bulley Shah. The 255th annual Urs of the great sufi mystic poet of Punjabi would start from Friday (today) and would conclude on Sunday.  Representatives of Amore Mazhabi Committee gave a Ghusal to the shrine on Thursday. Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif is expected to visit Kasur on the first day of the Urs celebrations.

 District administration announced a local holiday on Saturday (tomorrow). DPO Kasur Syed Khurram Ali told that 837 police officials including 2 SPs and 6 SDPOs would perform their duties on the Urs festivities in three shifts.  Close circuit cameras, walk through gates and metal detectors have also been arranged to avoid any terrorist activity, the DPO added. During the three days, Mushairas, Mahafil Naat Khawani, Mahafil Sama, speeches of the religious scholars, would be performed by the devotees.  The devotees have started arriving at the shrine with chadars from various corners of the country amid the drum beats and dance.
