RAWALPINDI  - Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Rawalpindi became a centre of fuss on Eid days.  One reason for commotion was heavy rainfall due to which the airport got inundated. Poor system of sewerage intensified the problem.   Second, there was no police for regulating the traffic inside the airport. There occurred a traffic jam on the VIP Road leading to an hours long traffic jam.

To add to the problems, water seeped through the roofs of the airport building. This affected the offices and machinery thereon. The delay in arrival and departure of flights due to unfavorable weather conditions also irked the travelers.

Moreover, the staff of airport was on Eid holidays, which is why it was difficult to manage the airport.
