LAHORE - The educational institutions of the province reopened after summer vacations on Thursday.

As per details, all private and public educational intuitions reopened after summer and Eid vacations.

However, in the provincial metropolis a very thin attendance was witnessed in government school not only of students but also teachers. According to a teacher of Government Center Model School, it is usual. “The attendance of students and teachers will be normalised from Monday,” he said.

Meanwhile, government offices, banks and other institutions also reopened on Thursday after 4-day closure on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.

Staff attendance in many offices, including those at the Civil Secretariat and banks, was seen thin as a whole.

Bureaucrats came to their offices after the vacation and were seen exchanging post-eid greetings.

Meanwhile, the hordes of people who had deserted the provincial capital for vacationing at native homes on the sacred occasion began pouring back into the city to join their respective work.

After the four-day Eid celebration, the Government employees who had come to their respective offices expressed hope that their colleagues would attend the offices from Monday.

Muhammad Fayyaz, a government employee said that the regular work in the office will start from Monday as majority of the employees belonged to the remote areas of the province and it was not possible for them to return on Thursday due to many problems including that of poor transportation.

On the other hand the ratio of attendance in private institutions was far more than the government institutions.
