KARACHI - Nepra, on behalf of KESC, filed two petitions to increase electricity rate by 27 paisas per unit.
The hearing on the two petitions will be held on August 31 in Karachi.
The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority is likely to allow Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) to increase 27 paisas per unit in power tariffs under monthly fuel adjustment after hearings on the petitions in this regard.
On Wednesday, the government announced an increase in prices of petroleum products and decided to increase CNG prices by up over three rupees per kilogram.
Sources said petroleum products prices may be revised on a weekly basis instead of fortnight.
