KOT RADHA KISHAN - District Police Officer Syed Khurram Ali Shah has said that foolproof security arrangements have been adopted for the three days annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah (RA) to meet any eventuality keeping in view the prevailing circumstances in the country.Talking to newsmen here on Thursday, the DO told CCTV cameras had been installed on the premises of the Shrine besides the installation of walkthrough gates at all the entry points. He pointed out that a police camp and wireless base had been established at the shrine for better guidance of the devotees. Khurram Shah said that in the police camp, a mini hospital, ambulance service, firefighters, workers of TMA, Sui-gas, Wapda, Telephone, Civil Defence and officials of Rescue 1122 would perform their duties to meet any untoward incident.He pointed out that as many as 41 upper subordinates, 86 lower subordinates of traffic staff would also perform duties to ensure smooth flow of traffic on the occasion. Besides two SPs, six DSPs, 28 Inspectors, 52 SIs, 59 ASIs, 47 HCs, 625 constables and 18 lady constables will also perform duty in three shifts. He said Razakars of civil defence and police qaumi razakars would also perform duty during the celebrations. He further stated that the courtyard of the shrine would be divided into 13 pickets while 18 pickets would manage the surroundings the shrine. The DPO said that four vehicles of Elite Force and vehicles of different police stations will patrol the area during the Urs celebrations, he concluded. It is to be noted that 255th Urs celebrations of Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah will start from August 24 and continue for three days while Kasur DCO Ahsan Waheed has announced a local holiday on August 25.
