MANDI BAHAUDDIN - The Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society demanded a Post Office branch in Union Council Jano Chak, Phalia tehsil here. The Society's local president said that the union council comprises Jano Chak Klan, Jano Chak Khurd, Basi Klan, Basi khurd and Jano Chak Nai Abadi villages consisting of 40,000 people. He added that about 600 ex-servicemen reside in the union council.  However, he said, there was no post office and people have to go to Phalia or Pahrianwali for correspondence. Besides, the retirees include former soldiers who have face difficulties for drawing their pension every month. He urged General Postmaster of Pakistan to open a post office branch in their union council for convenience of general public and the ex-servicemen.
