RAWALPINDI - A 15-years-old boy died during a ride on water slide in Play Land at Ayub Park, while two young boys drowned into Korang Nullah here on Thursday.

Upon getting information, Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene and shifted the deceased to hospital, who was later identified as Ubaid-ur-Rehman son of Haji Muhammad Raffique, a resident of Dhoke Chaudrian.

According to details, Ubaid, who was the student of class 6th, went Play Land along with his friends to enjoy Eid holidays and took a ride water slide. However, during the ride some part of water slide broken owing to which the young boy got imbalanced and his head hit on the floor of the water pool and he died on the spot.

Rescue 1122 shifted the dead body to District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) where doctors handed over the dead body to the heirs.

Meanwhile, two young boys drowned into Korang Nullah while taking bath at Rawat. The deceased ascertained as Zeeshan son of Ziafat Hussain, aged 20 and Waqas son of Sabir Hussain, aged 14, both the residents of Bharwalian Rawat.

After receiving information, Rescue 1122 divers reached at the spot and fished out the dead bodies and shifted them to hospital.

Later, the relatives and rescuers informed Police Station (PS) Rawat officials to meet legal formalities but the said police did not take any action saying the incident did not occur in their limits. The same response was given by Sihala Police Station officials.

Nonetheless, a tussle over jurisdiction between Police Station (PS) Sihala and PS Rawat resulted in a serious lapse in drowning case and the dead bodies were taken to home by the heirs without seeking help from police.
