LAHORE - Bahawalpur Zone beat Lahore Zone 74–66 in the Army Basketball Championship 2013 finals to clinch the title of Army champions here at the Lahore Garrison at Ayub Stadium.
Commander Lahore Corps Lieutenant General Maqsood Ahmad was chief guest at the occasion and gave away prizes to the position holding teams.
The week-long Army Basketball Championship was participated by 11 teams from different zones of Pakistan Army including Pakistan Rangers (Punjab). The semi-finals were played between Bahawalpur Zone and Mangla Zone in pool A and Lahore Zone and Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) in pool B. The winning teams of both the pools Bahawalpur Zone and Lahore Zone played the finals. The matches were witnessed by a large number of spectators from Pakistan Army while basketball fans were present there.
