A couple engaged in love committed suicide due to hurdles in love marriage from the family here on Saturday.
According to police, 22-year-old Ali Raza and Ghazal, 17, residing in Chohang area of Lahore were in love with each other and wanted to get married.
However, family of both the boy and girl refused to give permission after which they committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills.
The bodies were shifted to hospital from where they were handed over to heirs after legal formalities.
Police registered a case into the incident and started investigation.
