KARACHI - Pak Sarzameen Party leader Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday said that efforts were being made to save certain individuals. He said the federal and provincial governments should not consider the people of Karachi orphans after rifts in the MQM. Mustafa Kamal’s press conference comes in the wake of the MQM Pakistan distancing itself from anti-Pakistan statements made from the party offices in London.

Speaking to the media, he said that the MQM had an 85pc mandate of urban areas of Sindh. He said that party workers should not be mistreated due to the MQM chief’s inflammatory speech.

“What kind of a disease is this in which you become RAW’s agent”, Kamal questioned while criticising the MQM chief. He said that the people should decide themselves who is wrong and who is right. He again reiterated his opinion about Farooq Sattar and said that the MQM leader was innocent.

Kamal stated the Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief used to administer the affairs of his party in the past and would continue doing so in the future as well. He added that he was not able to comprehend what Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Dr Farooq Sattar was trying to say in his press conference, adding that efforts were being made in order to ensure the survival of certain individuals. He said that the MQM was like a wall that was about to fall, adding that anyone attempting to keep it upright would get crushed under it.

Mustafa Kamal said that crackdown in the city took place following the MQM chief’s speech, further adding that the Muttahida chief made statements against Pakistan and labeled the country as the epicenter of terrorism. He also said that the MQM chief was associated with Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
