KARACHI - Pakistan Air Force Vice Chief of the Air Staff Air Marshal Hifazat Ullah Khan has complimented City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal for outstanding efforts to control the menace of birds around the PAF airfields in Karachi especially during the occasion of Eidul Azha. In a compliment letter to City Nazim Karachi, The Vice Chief of Air Staff said that the PAF in her role as the sentinel of the nation against the external and internal challenges, strives continuously to preserve its combat potential and the effective measures that you have instituted in support of safe operations of the PAF have contributed immensely in fulfilment of this objective. Air Marshal Hifazat Ullah Khan expressed hope that the proactive approach which has been a hallmark of City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal in supporting the PAF to fight the problem of birds around its airfields in Karachi would continue. He also assured his full cooperation in these efforts of City Nazim and his team. This may be noted that city government has not only improved overall sanitation condition in the city during last four years but also lifted and transferred heaps of garbage and domestic waste lying in different areas of city to landfill sites. All these efforts have ensured cleanliness and healthy atmosphere in the Karachi. The CDGK under Kamal also introduced a new method of disposal of offal of sacrificial animals on Eid-ul-Azha. The burial of thousands of offal not only kept the city clean during Eid days but also protected the airplanes from flying birds at the airfields.
