ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has changed the portfolio of Minister of State for Law and Justice Afzal Sindu as Minister of State for Railways. The change has become necessary as after the merger of Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs into Ministry of Law and Justice, the slot of State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs became redundant and Parliamentary Affairs automatically came under the control of State Minister for Law and Justice Afzal Sindu. Ms Mahreen Anwar Raja, who was State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs was now given the charge of State Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs replacing Afzal Sindu. As the slot of State Minister for Railways was lying vacant after the removal of Jatam Ali Khan Mangreo who was shown the door after he had developed differences with Federal Minister for Railways Ghulam Ahmad Bilour. Meanwhile PM Gilani has made the following postings in the Federal Govt: Secretary Law and Justice Division, Mr. Justice (R), Riaz Kayani has been transferred as Secretary Human Rights Division. Justice (R) M Aqil Mirza has been appointed as Secretary Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. Secretary Human Rights Division M Farid Khan has been transferred as Chairman Pakistan Science Foundation, while Secretary Parliamentary Affairs Division Hifzu Rehman has been transferred as Secretary Tourism Division.
