ISLAMABAD Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly and PML-N senior leader Ch Nisar Ali Khan has said that his party will not ask President Asif Ali Zardari to step down. In a press briefing here on Wednesday, Nisar said he does not want to create more differences by asking President Zardari to resign. However, he said, his party policies are linked to the implementation of Supreme Court orders. We are following a policy of keeping the political temperature low to get the SC decision on NRO implemented in its true letter and spirit, he said. However, he said his party would wage struggle for enforcement of every clause of the decision, adding PML-N would raise the issue of non-implementation of SC verdict by the Government in the next National Assembly session. Taking serious view of the way the Government got approved Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Bill from the NA Standing Committee on Defence, Nisar made it clear that the controversial bill was not passed from the National Assembly. We will expose the Government tactics before the people if the rulers tried to bulldoze NA session in this regard, he cautioned. He said that the DHA was seeking to occupy 178,000 kanal piece lands and no law of Federation, provincial government or any civil authority would be applicable to DHA if the draft bill was passed. The areas of Rawat, Kallar Syedan and Rawalpindi tehsil have been included by DHA in its plan and these areas fall in my constituency. I will not allow any injustice done to the people of my constituency, he concluded.
